Welcome to MOFGA Certification Services

New Hampshire Certified Organic Operations:  MOFGA Certification Services operates in New Hampshire and stands ready to work with farms that need to switch from NHDAMF to another accredited certifier. We appreciate that New Hampshire certified organic producers are facing stress in finding new certifiers and, in acknowledgement of the current circumstances, MCS will waive the $75 application fee for New Hampshire Crop, Livestock, and Processor/Handler operations in 2024. Applications should be submitted by April 27, 2024.
In addition to offering very competitive certification fees (flat-fee is based on expected gross income from organic sales in a calendar year), MCS also offers a paperless online application option, including an online payment method.
 
You can preview the required forms for crop and vegetable certification from the Certification menu. If you would like a paper application we are happy to mail that to you as well.

Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) has been certifying organic farmers since 1972 and is one of the country’s oldest certification programs.  MOFGA Certification Services LLC was formed by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association in 2002 in order to provide USDA-accredited organic certification services to Maine farmers and food processors.  Our service area currently consists of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. If your operation is located outside of these New England states, please refer to the USDA NOP website or the Organic Integrity database to locate a certifier that services your area. If you are in Connecticut or Rhode Island, please contact our office.

MOFGA Certification Services (MCS) certifies crops, wild crops, sea vegetables, livestock, livestock products, and processed products to the USDA National Organic Program standard.
