MCS will begin accepting 2020 applications for organic certification in mid-January. Please make note of the deadlines below. You may download and print the required forms from the Certification menu after that time. If you would like a paper copy mailed, please contact our office.
Deadlines for applicants are listed below. (For currently certified producers, your deadline can be found on the update letter in your packet.)
Certification Application Forms can be downloaded from the Certification menu above. Please note the scope(s) you are intending to certify. If you have questions, please call MCS at 207-568-6030. Applications must be postmarked by the deadline.
Crop Farms – 30 June 2020
Dairy Farms – Contact MCS Staff, special planning is required.
Livestock Only Farms – Contact MCS, the 30 June deadline may apply
Maple Syrup Operations – 15 February 2020
Processors/Handlers – Applications accepted year-round
Sea Vegetables – Applications accepted year-round, production area(s) must be inspected prior to harvest
Winter Greenhouse Producers – 14 November 2020
